I never considered trying it for that reason, and I suspect a lot of people who used to use samurize have migrated to other desktop customization software after upgrading to Windows 7 or Windows 8. It looks like development for samurize itself ceased in 2007, and while most samurize features work for Windows 7 and Windows 8 in compatibility mode, it was only designed for use with with Vista, XP, and Windows 2000.
